  • Julie Baggenstoss

    Julie Baggenstoss is a flamenco dancer widely commissioned as a choreographer, lecturer and teacher.  Trained in Spain and the United States, Julie’s style of flamenco dance is influenced by her Seville teachers Saroya Clavijo and Manuela Reyes.  She brings to the stage the complexities of an art form that is old, yet evolving internationally. Julie has performed for and choreographed for Georgia’s major universities, including Georgia State University, Georgia Tech University and Emory University; non-profits, such as Techbirdge; theater companies; and in original productions, including “Por la Calle” (2006),  “Flamenco MOTIONeMOCIÓN,”  (2006)  and “Flamenco Verano ” (2007).  She has performed with internationally renowned flamenco artist Antonio Vargas, singer Chayito Champión, and singer/guitarist Cristian Puig. Julie is a teaching artist with Young Audiences and a teaching specialist at Emory University.  More about Julie Baggenstoss
  • Rina Menosky

    Rina Menosky is one of the most sought after flamenco dancers in the Southeastern United States.  Acclaimed for her dancing, Rina has an insatiable appetite for flamenco that is fed by annual immersive training in southern Spain and satisfied by sharing the art with others through performance and teaching.  Rina’s style of dancing flamenco is influenced by internationally recognized flamenco artists with whom she trains, including La Farruca and La Faraona de la Familia Farruco, Concha Vargas, Juana Amaya, and El Torombo. Rina also continues her study in singing with Juan del Gastor and other artists in Seville. Menosky has performed in various theatrical productions, including “Flamenco MOTIONeMOCIÓN” (2006) with Antonio Vargas, “Arte y Compás” (2006) with singer/guitarist José Gálvez of Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, and “Flamenco Verano” (2007) with Antonio Hidalgo, the winner of Spain’s 2007 Premio Andaluz for Artistic Achievement.   • Jean Pierre Verbist

    Jean Pierre’s strong guitar technique earns acclaim from flamenco artists, professional guitarists, and record producers. His early training in guitar included casual lessons from gypsies in France, Belgium and Spain.  Over decades of guitar playing, Jean Pierre created his own style, fusing Moorish, Arabic and Latin styles with basic flamenco sounds.  His catching “picado,” dramatic “razqueados,” driving rumba catalan and original music make him a sought after flamenco accompanist, as well as solo guitarist.  Jean Pierre has performed for clients such as Ted Turner, Jane Fonda, the Shaw Family and the popular Spanish painter Alvar.  Off the stage, he has played on remixes for major label artists including Enrique Iglesias and Anna Voctoria.  He is also a former instructor of guitar at the Lubeek Consortium in Belgium.
